The Alan Parsons Project is a progressive rock band formed in 1975. Was led by Alan Parsons, Eric Woolfson and involved several lineups of musicians and the arranger and conductor Andrew Powell.
Each contributed their bit to the group, Alan Parsons as a producer, engineer and composer Eric Woolfson as executive producer, composer and vocalist, and Andrew Powell as an orchestrator and arranger. In addition, surrounding a number of musicians and vocalists for each of its projects including musicians were Ian Bairnson, David Paton and Stuart Elliot and himself as vocalists Eric Woolfson, Lenny Zakatek, John Miles, Chris Rainbow and Colin Blunstone and many others.

late 80's, Eric Woolfson left the band to devote himself to composing for musical theater, but they reunited briefly with the Freudian project brief. Alan Parsons has continued creating new songs but by signing their name (without the Project), due to problems with the rights on maintaining Woolfson group name. Currently on tour again to rescue the original name, with permission from Eric, denominating Alan Parsons Live Project.
In the years 2004-2005, Alan Parsons Live Project made a world tour to publicize their latest projects and remember the successes of always getting the "full" wherever he went.
