Twisted Sister es un grupo estadounidense de heavy metal y glam metal formado en la ciudad de Nueva York . The group has an image glam , garnished with apricot deliberately point, the sound could be compared at times classic bands heavy metal as Judas Priest and Motörhead , while many other bands can approach hard rock as Alice Cooper or Kiss , since it has a strong component of rock and roll similarly bands like Poison or Ratt . Dee Snider , the lead singer said in an interview:
I do not think Twisted Sister is "glam" because that means glamorous, and we are not glamorous. Should be called "H" ("Hid"), because we are horrible (hideous). [ citation needed ]
Although the band was formed by guitarist Jay Jay French in 1973, all their songs were written by vocalist, Dee Snider . The group's hits include " We're Not Gonna Take It " and " I Want to Rock ", both popularized by regular appearance in MTV in the 80s.
